Our People

Brian Geremia:

Brian graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2006 with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Secondary Education.  At LMU, Brian founded an influential student service organization called Magis, a word that literally means "more" and encourages people to ask themselves, "How can I be more, do more, and give more?" Through Magis, Brian served as a big brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles, volunteered as the Varsity Baseball coach for Verbum Dei High School, an inner-city school operating under to Cristo Rey corporate work-study model, and facilitated other members' service involvement.

For his work with Magis, Brian was awarded LMU's Ignatian award, the highest honor given at graduation to the student who most exemplifies commitment to social justice, academic excellence, and leadership. Brian received many other awards at LMU, including the Sister Raymunde Mckay and Fr. Alfred Kilp awards for Service & Leadership, and was inducted into the Jesuit Honors Society in 2006.  Since graduation, Brian has worked as the Director of Alumni Relations at Jesuit High School and taught middle-school at Mustard Seed, an emergency school for homeless children at Loaves & Fishes in Sacramento.
