GoDoGood seeks to grow locally and
organically as creativity and
innovation propel the mission.
GoDoGood will facilitate local
community involvement initiatives
for students. Ideas for community
projects will be generated through
student interaction on our
web-community. There students can
engage one another by posting to
subject-specific forums, entering
online chats, creating issue-based
groups, and uploading interesting
pictures and videos. This online
tinkering space will serve as an
incubator for creative ideas that
GoDoGood will help students put into
action. Young people have the
capabilities to instigate and
implement new waves of novel ideas
that will transform their local
ecologies--they just need a way to
develop and accomplish their goals.
GoDoGood will create, support, and
manage the implementation of special
projects for individuals and
organizations. GoDoGood will help
clients achieve their project goals
by providing support, ideas,
communication, project management,
and leadership along the way. GoDoGood
will continually search
for meaningful and effective ways
for all people and institutions to
"Go Do Good" in their local
communities.
GoDoGood will also use its Web site
to showcase local individuals and
organizations that are "doing good"
in their communities. Pieces will be
written journalistically and shared
with the organizations for their
personal use and benefit. All
writing will exemplify GoDoGood's
belief in innovative social justice
ecology. The GoDoGood Web site will
become an online source for local
(good) news.
GoDoGood will create a philanthropic foundation
to fund other innovative solution
searchers at the most local level
possible. GoDoGood recognizes the
desire of many high school students,
college students, and recent college
graduates to pursue their passions,
which often focus on using their
accumulated talents to positively
affect their community. These
people often face needless barriers
to entry, institutionally and
culturally. The GoDoGood Foundation
will seek to eliminate these
barriers and let creativity and
passion flow.
GoDoGood will be a group of young
leaders funding young leaders.
